Chris Pengra

Elder & Executive Pastor

Pastor Chris grew up in southern California and moved to Utah after graduating high school. He became a Christian while serving in the Air Force in 2003 and married the love of his life, Lianne, in 2004. Chris credits the success of his marriage to building the relationship on the foundation of Christ. Chris and Lianne have two girls, Gabriella and Gracelyn. Chris and Lianne felt led by the lord to serve God in the Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Springs area, so in 2015 they stepped out in faith to help start Redemption Hill Church.  After serving as the mayor of Eagle Mountain City, Chris is accustomed to large steps of faith and believes that God's grace not only empowers him to be the man that he is today, but has also given him an eternal perspective for the future. Chris' greatest desire is to see as many people as possible come to the saving knowledge found in Jesus Christ.

Dax Johnson

Assistant Pastor/Student Ministries

Dax and his wife Makayla, partnered together with Pastor Keith Radke and his family to plant churches in mid 2017, and they all joined the new church plant Redemption Hill Church, where Dax has been serving in their youth ministry ever since. Dax wishes to be used by God to effect and impact the lives of the youth, in the same way that the people who mentored him helped him follow the path God laid out for him. His goal is to mentor and disciple youth in a way that will point them to Christ as their steadfast anchor in the craziness of their teenage years. He is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies to help him accomplish his God-given purpose. He also has a fondness for cheesy dad-jokes.
